I guess I got that feeling reading it because it seemed rather out of left field for the character to be talking to the goddess, without there being much of an introduction that they existed, apart from the mention of "a form that is more familiar to you", implying they met earlier. I assume we'll be seeing more of the two's history in future chapters?

Well...that ending sounds too much like an isekai "look-at-me-I'm-OP-now" scene to me.
